Pediatric uroloy is more than just a simple urology for small adults. In our Urology and Pediatric Urology Department we offer all necessary technical, spatial and human resources for the treatment of children with urological diseases. Pediatric urology is concerned with malformations of the urinary tract and various diseases of the kidney, ureter, urinary bladder, urethra and the male sexual organs in newborns and children.
We focus on:
- Diagnosis of all pediatric urological diseases
- Conservative and operative therapy, including plastic surgery of the upper urinary tract and the urethra (hypospadias, ESWL)
- Functional diagnostics for nocturnal enuresis without congenital disorders
We provide comprehensive information about the necessity and the timing of a diagnostic clarification or therapeutic procedure during the consultation with the parents, our colleagues from the Pediatric Department and, of course, the local pediatricians.
We perform many surgeries in children on an outpatient basis. Children who need hospital admission are located on our Pediatric Stations. A parent can be included, since children are often less afraid and the need for painkillers is lower when a trusted person is present.
